Biosketch

Samantha Hopkins is a MASc student in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.  Samantha joined HFASt in September 2016, where she works under the supervision of Professor Birsen Donmez. She obtained her BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University in 2013.  During her undergraduate studies, she performed research on haptic technology.  Subsequent to her BSc, Samantha worked for Boeing in Seattle, designing the pilot controls equipment for the 787 Dreamliner airplane, and modeling airplane systems on the 777X airplane.
